Luxury Beach Vacations
It's a tempting idea, isn't it, to have luxury beach vacations but be able to do it on a cheap budget. It may seem like a contradiction in terms, but it's not as strange a concept as you may think...
Part of the equation is how you define the term 'luxury'. If luxury beach vacations for you means that you have to stay in a Hilton hotel or maybe one of Donald Trump's extravaganzas, then it's probably not likely to get a cheap deal.
These types of hotels, 5 stars at the minimum, have marble everywhere, huge flowing water features and personal assistants to cater for your every whim. Luxurious? Yes. Cheap? No. Its the kind of place you can only afford if you don't need to know the price!
Of course you don't have to go that extreme, your definition of luxury may simply mean all inclusive, where you can eat and drink all day in the hotel complex, so much so that you never go further than the pool, and the beach itself serves as no more than a nice view!
Maybe you consider a treehouse chalet or hut on stilts as luxury, if you combine it with fresh local food and spectacular views. This kind of vacation will leave you refreshed and coming back all raring to go with special memories.
Are luxury beach vacations a suitable choice for young families? Probably not - let's be honest, young children are happy playing on the beach, and when you combine that with the excitement that any holiday brings to a youngster, there is not much benefit in paying for luxury that they won't appreciate, and you'll be too busy to enjoy!
If you have no particular destination in mind, you can get the same features you want at cheaper alternatives.
For example, the Caribbean is always popular but luxury holidays there will always cost you a lot due to the demand.
You can maybe go somewhere like South Africa, or closer to home in Mexico, and get holidays which are just as luxurious, but nowhere near the same level of price.
Other options which will reduce your costs include trying brand new hotels or resorts. You may not know quite what to expect, but that's precisely why the prices are competitive.
Then there is the last minute booking. The overheads for the luxury venues are the same whether they are full of half full, so when it comes down to the last minute, it's much better for the venue to sell at a lower price than leave unused occupancy.
Going out of season can also see the prices come tumbling, so if your life circumstances allow it, why not go for a winter break at a summer resort. That will of course depend on what you want from your holiday, but it's an option to consider.
So you can see, it's not so unusual to think that you can get luxury beach vacations at a much cheaper price than you thought you could.
